It’s been a good day
Service in Zion…wonderful. God is revealing so much to Elgin and I…he is really instructing us on this whole pastoring thing! I learned a valuable lesson and am grateful! Our newest members’ mother joined with us today and is ready to work! We’ve got two church mothers now! Lots of wisdom in the house! Lindsey invited krumpin dance partner Chris to church and he joined us for dinner afterwards. Mish and I cooked dinner (good practice for the Thanksgiving dinner we’ll make) and we all enjoyed Sunday dinner together. Then we started in on Chris. In a loving way of course! Tonight was the final of our four-week study. I had the honor of ministering tonight and talked about the lies we tell about church hurt. There was a lot of note-taking and amen’ing. It was a good night. The ZTCC faithful were there and Elgin and I imparted Word into these precious people. We came together to pray about some pressing issues in the house. We were united, no dissension, no contrary Word…all of us on one accord crying out to the Lord. It was beautiful. Mish closed us out in prayer which is something to shout about right there. This is part of the reason I WAS so reluctant to do this. Very interesting article on the whole phenomen here. I watched with amazament a story on the life Aimee Semple McPherson and the scandal that tainted her ministry as well. The article brought up a great point about accountability and how some churches are independent and think they are solely answerable to God which I think is a huge mistake.
