A Return

Yesterday I went for a brief walk after I ate lunch and it dawned on me that I was walking past the same oak trees I had walked by four years ago and dared to trust God.

Four years ago, I went for a walk and told God about our situation. About how I was underpaid, how I was unable to leave and needed him to come through. We were really struggling and I remember picking up an acorn. I remember telling God I trust you to bring me out. I trust you to be in possession of the promise just as I possess this acorn in my hand. I had to wait on Him and I trusted Him to deliver.

I would walk around on my lunch with that acorn and talk to God. “Just like I possess this acorn, we need to possess the promise.” And He did bring our family out.

And now I walk around those same oak trees and declare I’m in possession of the promise! He brought me back to the place where I believed Him! I love Him for this.
