It turned
My life just completely turned around. A word has set me so completely free. The greatness that God saw for me and has planned for me, I can now see for myself. Nothing is holding me back. God has been showing me me little by little. I knew he had big plans for my life but I wasn’t mature in my thinking to see myself there. But he brought me to this beautiful place in my life where I’m free. Free from my past. Free from childish thinking and behaviors. I am in such awe and so thankful right now. I am so on my way. And good thing too! Even though Elgin and I were the first in our family to have personal computer way back when, we were the first to have e-mail addresses (ironic because we had no one to send e-mail too) and consider ourselves pretty tech savvy, there are some things that are just foreign to me. I have never listened to a podcast…ever. Now if clips on Myspace count then I retract my statement. Even then I’m only good for a few minutes! I’m so proud to announce that we have our first online registrant for the Rite of Passage course! Woohoo! I just know great things are in store! I got a call about a position, again close to home and it’s decent money. The other job I really wanted that would have put us in a whole new tax bracket “wasn’t comfortable” with me. Loved my work, aced their test, but I didn’t give them a warm, fuzzy feeling. I’ve seen and experienced this before. Today was a good day. I got two naps in! Then somewhere around 1 p.m. I decided I wanted to barbecue so off to the store I went. I cooked ribs, pork chops, chicken wings, collard greens, baked beans and throw your diet out the window macaroni and cheese. And we had ice cream for dessert. We went to the pool and hung out. The teenager couldn’t get her hair wet which was hilarious. I actually went in the water and swam. I can only swim under water and not on top. I guess I should go ahead and learn that whole arm treading water while turning one’s head from side-to-side method. It has to do with the miracle of water to wine.The guests had no clue to the pending crisis.
