Greetings from North Cypress Medical

Over the weekend, my heart started racing and my blood pressure went through the roof. Reason: reaction to meds I took to treat a sinus infection. They treated me as a cardiac patient. So I had to have three beta blockers to bring my pressure down and the lovely nitro patch gave me the worst headache I’ve ever known. The doctors are baffled by my body’s response. They keep asking me if I’ve ever had any problems or history of disease and I tell them no. Yes I’m 100 pounds overweight but I’m remarkably healthy which has them scratching their heads. I’m remembering Nana this Christmas. I remember how she loved getting cards. All kinds – birthday, Christmas, Easter. I miss her today. It’s the first Christmas since she’s gone to Heaven. Love you Nana. The end of the year…my favorite holiday is fast approaching…New Year’s Eve! I’m reflecting already and what a year it has been. I’ve learned some tough lessons, overcame some personal difficulties and am better for it.I’m ready to see what 2009 holds for me and my family. God has revealed so much and I’ve learned so much. That’s how I feel when I leave a Zion service. Sunday school is phenomenal. The study on prayer has been so enlightening and my own prayers have changed and I’ve seen God move and respond. Elder Robbin taught this morning on praying the Word. Good stuff! We even dabbled a bit on knowing and praying the names of God (El Shaddai, etc.) Well that spilled over into worship and just kinda took off from there. My mom worshipped with us today and she enjoyed herself! I’m excited about a next course of study on the Messianic prophesies and studying Jesus’ fulfillment of them. I don’t know if this will be for Sunday school when we’re done with...

Yesterday Elgin and I celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary! We celebrated by going to the Red Cat Jazz Cafe and it was awesome. We had dinner there and it was delicious! Then there was the live band…Dean James (saxophonist)…oh my! This man is incredible. His cousin Andre sang. The host knew we were celebrating our anniversary and Andre serenaded us with a John Legend song…Ordinary People…it was so beautiful! Then Donna Franklin, a KTSU DJ had us come up and tell what made us successful! I was completely caught off guard for this! They treated us so kindly and made a big fuss over being together for that long. We enjoyed every moment of it. The...

What a fabulous day in the house today! Wow! Sunday school has been awesome! We’ve been teaching on prayer and today we talked about who does God respond to. We learned so much! Even the kids are having a great time and our teenager is doing a wonderful job teaching. It was a full day and it was awesome. Sunday school, morning worship! Oh my! And then pizza afterwards while the kids rehearsed for fourth Sunday. I absolutely love what God is doing! We’ve got the best members ever! Love ‘em all! Did you like this? Share it:Tweet
