Thanks for the reminder

Sometimes in prayer, the Father tells me to be quiet and listen. Today he reminded me of who I am and what He has called me to be and to do. So today, I’m interceding – I’m on the war path. I am encouraged. I wish everyone would taste and see that the Lord is good. I wish everyone would step up their game…their prayer life and their worship. What an emotional day today! I picked up the keys to the building today. Wow. Then Elgin and I went to the storage unit, filled the truck and the Toyota and made the trek to the building to unload. We’ll finish on Friday and Saturday is the collective church clean up and sanctuary setup. This is really happening. I’m terribly excited, and extremely tired! Last night’s storm was not conducive for sleeping. All the lightning and thunder kept us up most of the night. I’m ready for a long soak in the tub and then straight to bed. Tomorrow, I have got to finish this paper and Thursday I’ll study for the final exam. And in between meet with the...

Raining Cats and Dogs

I’m having Tropical Storm Allison flashbacks! It has rained pretty consistently all night with lots of thunder and lightning. The city is pretty much at a stand still. There’s standing water along most feeder roads. My beloved is waiting till the water recedes a bit before venturing out to work. And we’re not done with the rain yet. The kids are home because the school district canceled all classes today. So you know they are ecstatic. And I still have lots of work to do and now to get it all done with “momma” being yelled all day. Gotta love the kids. They will go with me to get the key to the building.
