I am currently blanching garlic (Sharon B…I think I could really take this whole cooking thing up a level and love it!) and preparing to make braised chicken. I’ve always wanted to try this and found a recipe that hope looks as good as the picture. Plus the recipe was easy enough for me to understand.
I have absolutely loved having hubby home all this week and am not ready for him to go back to work. Now it would be nice if the kids were going back to school and we had the week to ourselves…but um…I digress…LOL!
It’s a school night, I finished my homework earlier today and am glad that my next two classes are math classes. I’m a bit burned out with this paper writing process. It will just be me and the numbers. Our hip hop ballerina just finished Algebra II so she gets to help me with my homework! With math there’s nothing to theorize and expand, just computation and I’m really looking forward to it!
Still working on my photo taking skills on the new phone. And this from a woman who had her own photo show less than a decade ago!Our first chapel service at the shelter went really well. Lindsey and I had a debriefing meeting on what we can immediately improve on and add to use the full hour. The kids told us they loved us and were their favorite group! We’ve got some great things planned for them and pray that the word we planted takes root and produces fruit one day. We’re actually doing what’s equivalent to VBS at an apartment complex I think next week or the week after and we’re so excited!
Well my mushroons and red wine vinegar are deglazing.
Dinner should be done soon.
Bon apetit!
