Beginning in 2010, I get part of my life back. Our teenager will drive herself to school. My taxing days are done. So when the house clears out in the morning, I will head back outdoors for my walks. I have missed them terribly! It’s a lot colder since the last time I did this but I’m ready! Today was a productive day! We painted part of the church today and it looks fabulous. Painting is really one of the quickest makeovers to any room. We cleared out more items and have even more room. It was a team effort and we got it all done. It’s been a long day and tomorrow the guys are going to play basketball at the church for a couple of hours. Then Thursday...

Today was simply incredible! I was preparing the Word for this morning when it shifted and took on another life when it was all said and done. 1 Chron 13 & 15 is the story of David’s first and final attempts of retrieving the Ark of the Covenant. My little Sunday School lesson as Pastor Shan calls them was, “Now its my turn to dance.” It was crazy but in a good way! OMG! I learned that trick from Martha Stewart and am praying it worked! Also hoping my dirty rice is successful! No box…sorry Zataran’s! I’m making it all from scratch and it’s pretty labor intensive. Thought I’d share a few of my favorite Christmas songs. Here they are in no particular order. 1. The...

Read MoreToday is our 22nd wedding anniversary! Had a great time at dinner with my beloved. For as long as we’ve been together, we’ve shared our lives and space with a four-legged baby of some sort. When we first got married, There was Muffin the Australian Shepherd. She was a sweet baby! Big and fluffy too! Then there was the short experimental phase of keeping cats. George and Gracie were their names. Again, short lived when I discovered the critters liked to run laps around our apartment at night while we tried to sleep. Not to mention the upkeep of the litter box. Ewwwww! Then there was Sampson the cocker spaniel. He was champagne color and kept me company during...
