This Christian walk is a process. It’s one step at a time. We don’t attain sanctification overnight. We lay down those things that beset us little by little. Where we get in trouble is standing still; falling and not getting back up or getting frustrated and giving up altogether.
Spiritual growth occurs when we press through, prove God and stand on His word.
It happens one step at a time.
Where I am today is not where I was 20 years ago. I asked my beloved, man, was I truly saved back then? The answer is yes. I’ve spent those 20 years allowing Holy Spirit to regenerate and sanctify me. I also made the decision to live a consecrated life. Some behaviors, some activities I chose to relinquish because I wanted more of Him.
At some point in our Christian walk we deicde we want more. We figure out that there is more and Holy Spirit is more than willing to lead us into that more.
So today I’m reminded that walking by faith is a process and we all are at different stages of that process. The standard, the bar is still set high, and getting there is basically the same (forsaking sin and putting on Christ).
The thing to remember is to press ahead, don’t give up because each small step makes you more into His glorious image.
In the end, that’s what it is all about.
Be blessed everyone.
