Pleasantly Surprised

Ashford University surprised me. I didn’t think anyone would respond to my letter. I thought I was going to have to restart my search for a degree program. It seems as though I won’t have too.

They responded within hours of my email.

Wow.

That’s one of the reasons I pulled the open letter from my blog.

I now have more names, phone numbers and email addresses of AU staff than I may ever need. Still no contact info for Jeff Cross, the online admissions vice president and that’s OK. I associate his existence to the commercial below. (It is one of my absolute favorites!) His staff worked quickly to resolve my issue and for that I say thanks.

So it appears my academic career will continue at Ashford University. I may have to take some time off to let financial aid catch up with the transfer. Again, I’m OK with that. Communication and clarity are absolutes when conducting business; especially when that business is long distance. There are still some issues to clear up and a moving forward strategy is in order. I am waiting on a call from the financial aid counselor and hopefully this is a done deal tomorrow.

Many thanks to everyone at Ashford who made my cry for help their priority.

Ashford; I’m impressed.
