Gift of intercession: Power of prayer

It is of great value to have people in your life who will pray for you – intercede for you. One of the benefits of being connected to the Body of Christ is the power of intercession. I just recently discovered I had an intercessor in an unlikely place…Facebook!

There have been some awesome people in my life who are designated to pray me down from the proverbial ledge every so often. What do I mean by that? There are times when it appeared the test, the trial, had the upper hand and I was ready to concede defeat. I think I even told God a few times I didn’t want to play anymore. I wanted to storm off and go sit in a corner by myself! But at those very moments, I know prayers uttered on my behalf strengthened me to continue.

I am thankful for those assigned to pray for me. I’ve called, IM’d when my flesh was having a full-blown temper tantrum and they spoke life to me. And the beauty is they didn’t think any less of me or condemn me. I was still “Pastor Lisa.” Now how awesome is that? You just gotta love a good intercessor!

A stronghold has finally been destroyed and I am thankful for those who waged war with me and for me.

Thank you.

I love you more than words could ever say.

Saint’s don’t stop praying…for the Lord is nigh…
