King David got into serious trouble for counting the people in 2 Samuel 24.
Gideon who had an army of thousands watched God dwindle it down to hundreds.
It seems we like to count, we like numbers…big numbers (except when it’s the scale, your blood pressure or cholesterol number…smaller numbers desired).
In some circles, success is counted by how many things you possess…whether it be congregants, children, awards, degrees, cars and so on.
Sometimes big numbers are good.
The bible says there is safety in a multitude of counselors.
That’s definitely a good thing.
But you don’t always need large quantities or big numbers to flow in what God has called you to do.
I’m still convinced you don’t always need a lot of people, just the right people.
Watch God do the amazing with the few loaves and fish in your life.
Blessings!
