I had the opportunity to talk to two fabulous women today.
They don’t know each other and live in completely different cities. One in Los Angeles the other in Chicago but they both said the same thing; one from a business viewpoint and the other spiritual.
They both spoke of the need for mentorship and guidance.
Some people still desire that one-on-one, hands on interaction with wise counsel.
But there’s been a break down in communication and some are having a hard time connecting.
That’s why divine connections are priceless.
So this post tonight is to simply thank those who extend themselves to others. Who give of themselves and fulfill Titus chapter 2 in the lives of those who are thirsty and hungry.
To those who aren’t intimidated by other business owners, who feel it is more important to give and sow into the businesses of others as led by Holy Spirit, I know you know it comes back to you. Thank you for imparting into good ground and helping someone else achieve their God-ordained purpose. Thank you for not being stingy and uttering those fateful words, “they’ll figure it out.” You just saved somebody time and resources and I pray God blesses you for doing so.
If you’ve been abusing your mentor by not listening, undervaluing, not appreciating, not heeding, sucking your teeth and rolling your eyes as they offer God-given counsel…..ooooooooooohhhhhhh……shame on you! What you have is priceless and others desperately want what you have. I think God’s word to Hagar applies here…go back and submit yourself to Sarah!
To those still looking and praying for that connection, don’t give up. Holy Spirit is still an excellent teacher and I think somewhere over in the book of Isaiah, the prophet declared Him, Wonderful, Counselor.
