HOUSTON, TX, October 22, 2012—The International Freedom Coalition (IFC) founded by Sapphire Jewel King has appointed Lisa N.Alexander, The Marketing Stylist to its board of directors. Mrs. Alexander will act as the organization’s Chief Communications Officer.
In this role, Mrs. Alexander is responsible for the development of organization-wide communications, media, marketing, branding, and PR strategy. Under her leadership, she will formulate sound communication and publication policies, procedures, and standards consistent with company identity, values, and goals.
Other duties include:
- Pitching print, television, radio, and digital media outlets and booking IFC officers;
- Planning media activities to promote organization, projects, and build IFC brand, presence and lists; and
- Creating press releases, media kits, articles, newsletters, e-blasts, and marketing materials.
“I’ve always done some form of community service,” says Alexander. “I was looking for an opportunity where I could use my creative and marketing skills to serve the community and received the call from Sapphire…it was a perfect fit.”
The International Freedom Coalition is a nonprofit organization which exists to eradicate child maltreatment worldwide by strengthening and stabilizing the family unit. The Coalition is uniquely volunteer-led by a small group of Core Members and sustained by a family of Affiliates and Ambassadors all working together towards a common goal. The diverse portfolio of missions, goals, and causes within our collective network plays a significant role in strengthening families and ending child abuse and neglect from a variety of perspectives.
